I started coming to ES in my first year; my brother had been involved in a different AFES group and inspired me to come along! I love so many things about ES, like being mutually encouraged by brothers and sisters in Christ, getting fantastic Gospel training, and being encouraged and equipped to evangelise at uni!

Carden Wolodsko
Vice-President

I started attending ES in my first year after my mate from church invited me to a First Year Bible Study that he was leading. I love that ES gives me an opportunity to serve and nurture the Gifts that God has given me. I also really appreciate that ES has given me great theological training that inspires me to be more mission minded on campus and in other areas of my life!

Secretary

I heard about ES from friends at church and started coming along in first year (thanks to some coaxing and loving patience from my lovely Bible Study leaders). Ever since, the weekly Bible Studies have been a regular highlight of my week!

Treasurer

I got to know ES through high school when I came along to UniConnect! What I love most about UQES is the chance to fellowship at uni, where I spend so much of my time as a Physio student. It’s been so encouraging to see others growing in the Word and thinking about how to live out the gospel. I’ve also really valued the chance to serve, from leading a Bible study to being on Exec, and learning what ministry looks like as a uni student.

Ebony Niethe
Treasurer

I started coming along to ES at the start of my first year of uni, and it has been the defining element of my uni experience. I have grown so much as I’ve learnt from God’s word, been challenged to share my faith and equipped to faithfully serve God’s kingdom.

I joined UQES at the end of Grade 12! I love learning about my Jesus so deeply multiple times through the week, and this has led me to adore and serve Him even more. My best friends are those I met through ES, and I’m so grateful for the shared foundation in Christ I share with them all  : )

Joining ES has definitely changed my life. I automatically just got all these amazing friends who also shared with me their deep spiritual gift of Christ, which I am grateful to have received. Best part about it is that everyone is welcome, including non-Christians. I’ve always felt welcomed no matter my stance, so I encourage anyone with the slightest interest in Christianity to join.

I’m Ella and I’m a third year uni student studying speech pathology! Joining ES has been such a blessing, both in growing my personal faith and in training me up in my Bible-reading skills and talking to people about what I believe. I have found such a beautiful community at ES and am so blessed by my friends’ constant encouragement and fellowship as we run the race for Jesus side by side! It’s truly been a little foretaste of heaven and I can’t wait to see what more God will do through ES over the coming years:)

IT ALONE

What if uni isn’t just about your degree, but discovering something bigger? You don’t have to figure it out alone. Come join our group, meet other students who are asking the same big questions, explore Jesus together, and find friendships and support that make the journey easier. We’d love to see you get connected and be part of what’s happening.
