Mid-Year Conference is where 150+ students come together for 5 days to grow in their knowledge and love of God, be immersed in the Bible, and make life-long friendships. This year again it’s a combined conference for UQEvangelical Students (UQES), QUT Christians (QC) and ACU Brisbane Christian Society (ACU BCS), and the biggest event on our calendar! MYC is a combination of platform sessions and Bible-talks, small group discussion, seminars and electives plus free time and fun.
We’re already planning this year’s MYC, so mark the dates in your diary and stay tuned for more information!

Stay tuned for pricing information. To give you an idea, last year’s early-bird prices were:
Standard rego cost an extra $20 and closed Mon 16 June 2025.
Late rego cost another extra $20 and closed Thursday 26 June 2025, which was the final day for registration.
The site offers two styles of accommodation: standard dorm rooms, or camping. Your registration fee will vary depending on which accommodation option you choose.
Standard dorm rooms are carpeted with bunk beds and sleep 4 to 6 people. Though some rooms have ensuites, most of us will access shared bathrooms.
The Camping option is a little cheaper but you will need to supply your own tent and sleeping mattress. You might like to coordinate with friends to share a tent. These campsites are unpowered, but there is a toilet block nearby.
Everyone’s welcome at MYC! And the time away is a great chance to check out Jesus and Christianity further.
At MYC there’s a discussion group during the week specifically for those who aren’t Christian, but want to explore Christianity. There’s plenty of time to ask questions, and to dig as deep as you’d like to.
“Exploring Christianity at MYC was exactly what I needed coming from a non-religious background. We started with the evidence of Jesus from outside the Bible before going deeper and this was incredibly helpful. On top of that I made friends I will have for a lifetime and couldn’t be more thankful!”
– Sophie
There is a question on the registration form to opt in to the Exploring Christianity group.
Yes!
We don’t want finances to prevent anyone from coming to MYC. If you need financial assistance in order to make it to MYC, please speak with one of the staffworkers in your campus group. They can give you more information about accessing financial help.
On the other hand, if you are able, we also welcome additional donations. That would be a wonderful way to joyfully serve others and help make it possible for them to come to MYC too. You can make a donation as part of your registration below.
If you need help getting to MYC, you can request a lift when you register. On the other hand, if you’re driving yourself we’d love if you can offer to take other passengers. Transport arrangements will be organised after registration closes. Transport plans will be notified then to both the driver and their passengers.
Don’t forget to bring…
If you have chosen the camping option, be sure to bring…
Other things you might like to bring include…
We will also have a fabulous bookstall running throughout the week. We’ve chosen some great books related to our topic, as well as some other significant titles designed to stretch and encourage us to think deeply about the Bible and our world.
If you need to change or cancel your registration, email myc (at) uqes.org.au
Please note that we have to commit to certain costs in the weeks before the conference based on registration numbers at the time.
For this reason, we regret we may be unable to issue full refunds if you change or cancel your registration less than 2 weeks before the start of the conference.
If you have questions about how you’re getting to MYC, contact your transport coordinator for your campus. The details for this person will be in your registration confirmation email.
In some rare cases people have reported that their payment has gone through, but they didn’t receive a confirmation email after completing their registration.
If this happens to you, check your spam folder. If you still can’t find your confirmation, email myc (at) uqes.org.au
